Welcome to PhotoMap. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of this website, including photo upload, map display, timeline, account, and related services. By using PhotoMap, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2. User Content

You may upload photos, captions, location data, timestamps, and other content to create or contribute to photo maps. You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant PhotoMap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, resize, and process that content as needed to operate and improve the service.

3. Photo and Location Data

PhotoMap is designed to display geotagged photos on maps and timelines. Uploaded files may include EXIF metadata such as camera details, dates, times, latitude, and longitude. Do not upload photos or metadata that reveal private, sensitive, or confidential locations unless you have the right and permission to share them.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree that you will not upload, post, or share content that infringes another person’s rights, violates privacy or publicity rights, contains unlawful or harmful material, includes malware, or interferes with the operation of the service. You are solely responsible for obtaining any permissions required for the photos and information you submit.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use PhotoMap to harass, stalk, threaten, impersonate, dox, or otherwise harm another person. You may not attempt to bypass security controls, scrape the service in a disruptive way, overload the service, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

6. Content Removal and Account Suspension

We may remove content, restrict access, or suspend accounts if we believe these terms have been violated, if content creates legal or security risk, or if action is needed to protect users, the public, or the service.

7. Third-Party Services

PhotoMap may rely on third-party services such as WordPress, WooCommerce, map providers, hosting providers, analytics tools, or Google Photos integrations. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep PhotoMap available and useful, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that uploaded content will always be preserved without loss.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhotoMap and its operators disclaim all warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of PhotoMap after changes become effective means you accept the revised terms.
